Well done.
I, as well have been stung by wasps a lot when I was young (in Italy's countryside they are present all summer in huge amount) but never had reaction from them apart the classic itchiness that lasted max one day.
Once tho (I was 22 yo) I've been stung on my middle finger by a hornet as I accidentally touched one while I was moving a chair in the living room.
Pain was mental (it didn't stop me to crush the fucker and transforming it into hornet jam) and finger became pretty big after a couple of hours.
It was in the morning, the pain was fading so I didn't worry much for the whole day.
Later that night I went to bed and woke up at 3am and I literally couldn't breath, the feeling was like my trachea was the size of a needle.
I ran to the toilet assuming I was about to puke but nothing.
My ex-gf woke up and drove me to the ER where they injected me something (not cortisone as I have diabetes type 1) and I began breathing regularly after few minutes. One of the scariest nights of my life as I thought it was my last one alive.
Doctors told me that the hornet sting would probably make me allergic to any other bee/wasp/hornet sting in the future.
Ever since I steer away from wasps and hornets, and if possible I kill them with huge violence and satisfaction.
