58pc of the Hackney Wick population was white British in the 2011 census - above the London-wide average of 45pc, but well below the national average of 87pc.
I've attached the employment segmentation. Yeah, there are more white-collar jobs than the national average, but it's an exaggeration to say everyone is upper-middle class.
