It appears to be a 7 mile long nodderthon cycle path. I'd go spare riding round that for an afternoon, let alone a year.
Oh, that's very disappointing. I thought it would at least have been a longer loop, and I just imagined it might be a couple of dozen miles long. I suppose it must be within the rules, but the annual mileage record always conjures up those images of epic distances, as with Steve Abraham's spider web all across England and France, or tying PBP into the record etc.
I can well see how that's incredibly boring, and I think it would actually be in her interest to change that approach, as I think the record will just be considered less valid if and when she establishes it solely that way--much as others will undoubtedly follow in her wheel tracks and do it along similar loops.
Just followed Amanda Coker on Strava. She appears to be riding a single loop over and over. I reckon I'd go completely mental after about a week of that. She must have some zen-level mental strength.
