  • appear to be 51mm on a pacenti tl28 rim (28mm wide)

  • I have a set of Wheels, brand new DT swiss 466d on XLC evo 6bolt Disc rims. Will come with a pair of Brand new Schwalbe Big-One 2.35" tyres.
All in £110, picked up from Edgware Road.

Price drop on these really quite nice wheels?

  • Awesome, cheers!

  • That's a lot of room! Looks good!

  • I'm calling on LFGSS knowledge: I'm looking for a set of decently light, wide (ie. >21 mm inner width), and aero rims. Does such a thing exists in 650B ?

  • Pacenti tl 28 rims back at 21£ .

  • Second hand Stans Crest?

  • Paging @edscoble

lightweight tubeless semi slick-ish 650 tyres. What you got? Reckon I'm gonna get an Arkose to build as a FrankenFatty

  • How fat? How slick?
    Schwalbe big one?

  • Not quite 100% sure yet. 2.35 MIGHT be a tad too big to clear the stays. As slick as that is perfect though.

  • See my post on previous page - maxxis refuse tubeless 2.0 or wait for the WTB horizon

  • Bang on what I want to build. Any more pics?

  • Schwalbe supreme is also nice

  • Anyone used Stan's ZTR Arch EX with a Compass or similar tyre, with tubes?

Considering them at 21 quid a piece from Planet X

  • not very good ones I'm afraid (650b pickenflick with cx1)

  • Even with just 32h, that's pretty fucking cheap.

@pryally That's spot on. Slightly annoying TT hose routing though no?

  • I've got them with grand Bois Hetres. Really tight getting them on

  • But on and working all OK?

  • This is likely no help at all, but I've been using Stans Crest rims w/ Compass Babyshoe Pass tyres (and tubes) for about a year.

They were an utter shit to fit at first, till I learned how to actually fit tyres properly. You need to use the rim's well to the max, and so on. Tubeless tape is essential.

  • Never been an issue, it is a cross bike after all

  • Yeah, no problems once on.
@tyeness is right. Use the well.

  • Sorry for not UTFS, but approximately what size tire would I be able to fit on a steel road frame with clearance for about 27mm tires atm

Edit: For clarity, looking at those stans rims, and 27mm tire on a 700c Archytype

  • For rim brakes, what's the relative difference in position between 700 and 650b brake tracks? Wondering if converting might be easy on my tourer as its canti mounts seem rather low (the blocks on my Avids are right at the top of the mounting slot) - thought might be able to find a brake that can work.

  • Ah just asked on russmyers thread, he's saying 19mm ...
