The Kotaku review took a similar line, hating the first play through for it not being what people typically expect from a game then really enjoying it the second time when they slowed down to just enjoy the experience.
Still haven't jumped in myself, got too much on, but quite looking forward to it - maybe I'll wait for a price drop at this point.
