They're quite lucky in Australia that it's quite a hot climate. Means that the mattress dries out a lot quicker from all that bedwetting.

28.32 for 10km. Not bad for someone who spends most of his time pootling about on bieks...

Basically the issue about all the whinging about the track team is the other nations were licking their lips. A poor run in the preceding World Champs and the drama around Shane Sutton, I reckon the all thought they would break the British domination this time round, and boy were they surprised. You would have thought the march Worlds might have served as a warning, but a lot of the other teams have actually improved on their times from that meet, like the USA women's TP, who beat the Brits, the Aussies man's TP who again pushed the British into second, and also the NZ men's Team Sprint, who won gold and with a slower time than they managed in the Limpets (an event where GB finished sixth).
Yet get to the Limpets and the Brits just dole out their usual spanking.
Haha.

And I think part of that is GB taking a longer-term view of things. Smashing everyone at the Worlds would've just've made them hungrier for the Olympics and looked at a way to find that extra percent. Wiggins has said repeatedly how much he wishes BC let them use the good skinsuits, helmets and equipment outside of the Olympics.

No, it's his standalone PB. Still alright though, innit? Haven't seen yesterday's splits yet, sure they're still relatively impressive.

Low 31 is what I thought I saw for Alistair in The Times. A good time, especially considering he strolled across the line.
I saw an interview after London where Alistair was talking about the training required to make it to world class in 10,000 and he suggested it wasn't possible for him.

I have memories of seeing results of some track 10000 races Alistair did in the US and they were very impressive.

Just had a look at the final splits. the 10k was 30.34 for Alistair Brownlee. If you compare disciplines, he came 4th, 4th, 3rd respectively. comparatively slow in T1 but quick in T2.

Give the bouncy horsey the medal I say.
Animalympics. I'd watch that.

Horses should get the medal (or maybe actually a bail of hay or some other horsey treat they'd like) not the riders.
Also, saw some members of the hockey team on the telly earlier today, thought it was a bit weird that they get a medal each, shouldn't it just be one for the team?
