seems to take me a while and spread out over a few days
Shouldn't be taking you this long to replace a tub. As long as the tub has been pre-stretched, it doesn't take longer than an hour really.
1-2 layers of glue on the base tape depending on tub, 1 layer on rim, mount and centre. Pump up to 120psi, leave overnight, ride.
yeah been doing my own tubs for about 5 years now but figured I'm probably not doing them as well as someone who knows all their stuff, not doing many miles at all just using the bike to get to uni (5 miles) on and off, seems to take me a while and spread out over a few days, and most recently got a puncture day after repairing it so that was a kick in the teeth, got the money at the moment but not the time so just thought i'd ask.
BigH are your tubs unused?
only have experience using rim cement, normally Vittoria Mastik, is tape much easier?
also been using goo-gone to clear old glue
