It is with a heavy heart I'm listing this but have always had the attitude that if I'm not riding a bike (regardless) of how nice I cannot justify keeping it.
So up for grabs my much loved and meticulously built 853 steely.
I bought the frame originally off here and then built it up. I have contact the guys at DOLAN and found out some more about it. I have since built it up for many new parts including the shifters, brake set, headset, forks, saddle, pedals, bottom bracket, wheels and cables. The rest was added but in very nice condition.
The spec Reynolds 853 (all tubes not just the front half as in some builds) by terry dolan.
Forks - Columbus minimal full carbon forks (plenty of space left to play with.
Wheels - campagnolo neutron asymmetric.
Groupset - Campagnolo record carbon 10 speed - the brakes are titanium.
Seat post - Campagnolo carbon post
Saddle - Specialized romin evo (although I might keep this depending on interest).
Bars - fsa and ritchey short drop
Rear cassette - 13-29 campagnolo 10 speed
Pedals- Carbon keo
Tyres are a mix continental 25mm
I'm open to taking saddle of and pedals if not needed.
I'm sure there's more I've missed. In terms of sizing I measure centre to centre. The top tube is 54.5cm but some might say 55cm. I will take some pics later with the tape.
Again the seat tube is 55cm centre bottom bracket. however that is to the bottom dip of the seat tube to the top is 55.5cm. Again i'll update pics later.
For reference I am 5 10 and it fits me great but has movement either way.
Any questions please ask I would prefer collection for obvious reasons primarily the person to see in the flesh and try out. It is in great shape with only a few minor blemishes to the paintwork which arrived when I bought it. It is taped now and I have included pics. The biggest which isn't really seen is above the front mech on the hanger. It is a stunning bike and I will be very sad to see it go. It is a very high spec with many new quality parts.
I could be a mile out but I don't think given the spec (not to mention the money I have spent in building it!) I am asking £1200. For reference I looked at some of the modern steels which are no where near this spec and no where near the quality are significantly more and a lot heavier! This weighs in a smidge over 19lb from memory. Any questions please ask also selling a set of carbon wheels.
