Picture Perfect: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFCF694AE7A1C076A
Many of you may be aware of them already but they're too good to miss.
Several projects are shot on film.

Another Holiday snap from the Konica: I used Filmdev.co.uk for the B&W, on the whole Kentmere 400 seems quite grainy, which works better on some shots than others.

You've shot into the sun a bit there so maybe a bit underexposed? Is the neg thin? I would give it an extra stop when the shadows are that sharp anyway.
I've only shot half a dozen rolls but I've found Kentmere 400 always much less grainy than this ^ . Some of that was in dodgy light situations and with compacts too (which just rate at the DX speed). I was pretty impressed. It just looks like really classic film with not much fine contrast - good for graphic stuff.
The 100 has a lot of fans ... i've not shot it yet.

Kentmere 400 shot on a Nikon AF600 (a compact with no metering control at all).
A bit of grain.

Kentmere 400 pushed to 1600 shot on an SLR (with the ability to use exposure lock etc and expose a bit better).
Really only a little more grain.

MJU II A and cheap Dynax 5 + 28mm F2.8 scans are in. So many keepers.
On camera flash on film just works so much better than digital.
Loving the results!

..ha, would have thought it's 28mm not 35.
In-camera flash works well when used like this.
Never really liked the look in my own pictures to be honest, I once experimented with taping (warm-) coloured foil over the flash, which worked ok, but other than that it always looks quite 'artificial' to me. -

I like the fact the dynamic range is more like what the eye sees but you're right about it being a bit unnatural. It's more that it works better on film than digital that I find interesting.
