Right, I've had the payout on the written off 748 and am progressing the personal injury and uninsured losses claim. So, it's time to start thinking about the new bike. Whilst my heart is drawn towards a Panigale, my head is telling me otherwise. I don't get out on the bike as often as I used to and a change in my circumstances means that blowing all the money might be a luxury i should resist. The alternatives (all used) I'm considering are:
MV Agusta F4 1000 - unnecessarily exotic? will it spend more time at the garage than on the road?
Ducati 848 Evo - possibly the most sensible choice? Really usable on the road and track.
Ducati 1098S - gets better reviews than the 1198S, worth the extra money over the 848?
Ducati 999S (or possibly R) - marmite, but you get a lot of extra spec for the money
Honda Fireblade - just not sure I can bring myself to do it
Any thoughts on or experience of the above? It's going to be a few weeks yet...
