Welwyn Garden City

Sainsbury's have changed their opening hours and now close at 22:00 which means that unless the ride is ridiculously fast (it won't be) we no longer get to play on the travelator and, almost as importantly, can't buy train beers.

But don't worry, I have a plan, all you will need is a fixed wheel bicycle and a reasonably bright front light...

Those willing should meet me at Kings Cross station at 19:18 (allow 15 mins to get tickets) or Welwyn Garden City by 19:51.

Trains home (hopefully with beers) 22.25, 22.53, 23.29, last train at 00.21

They stuck me on the early shift today so I finish work at 4:30 which means I'm not even riding out I'm more like pootling there the canal path and will probably have time for a swift half on the way. Soz to not help make up the groupsave tho

Left my bike at work yesterday and WFH today - not sure about a 2h round trip to get it

but if you don't go get your bike how will you do the ride tonight and also commute in tomorrow?

Just go get your bike and WFT (work from train) meanwhile?

Hey @jaeyukdapbap you know when we we're riding back into London and my bike was making that terrible racket? Well I found out it was: two missing crank bolts and three loose ones. Funny not funny

To be honest we don't usually bother trying to meet up for the ride out because it's a bit chaotic trying to get people together at a set time (and keep them together in rush hour traffic). At least from my point of view for example, I don't even know yet which office I'm leaving from or what time I'll get away...

I can bring a spare light to WGC station though, if that helps..

Yo I'm bailing for this one, just been out on a quickie to/from Epping, popped back to get bank card and split the zip on my saddle bag and spent ages trying to refix now am super late 😰
