Can't really say about speed gains as that would depend on what you are comparing to but they feel quick.
I'm 88kg and ride 35c Kojaks 55/65 psi which is pretty comfortable.
After 600mi commuting they still look pretty new, couple of small nicks, I'm sure I'll get at least a year out of them.
I've had one puncture but that was when something spikey stuck to my back tyre and I rode over if several times before I could stop - ain't no kind of a tyre that is gonna survive that action...
