  • Had this for nearly two years now. Recently rebuilt the hubs onto TB14s and changed the finishing kit around. Fits 28c ribmos with room to spare. Will get risers and clip on mudguards for winter probably

    ?

No experience with them alas :)

  • which bottle cage attachment is that?

  • Anchor looking rad in the sun. Rides a dream as well

  • Elite, you can pick them up in Halfords for a couple of quid

  • Stem/bar/hood positioning on point

  • Waiting on some spacers for my scoblestack, and the seatpost is just a placeholder (I think I'll need a layback), also need a 20c tyre for the front, as 23c is rubbing heavily on the fork, then I'll be sorted!

  • 20c tyre for the front

For on the streets? Better you than me. I'd get another fork.

  • You went for a pre cursa then?

Yeah don't do 20c for them streetz.

Get an alpina, surprised that fork doesn't fit 23's. I had one that definitely did.

  • You don't die with a 20c tyre, especially not on a wide rim.

  • @Tijs, nah it's for herne hill. I've escaped the wedding band I was playing in, so have more Saturdays free to go to hhv. The fork was cheap on here and has no brake hole, not cool enough for brkls on the street so it'll be track use only.

@timbre, I've had the frame for ages. Thought it'd be a bit small so gave it (and some other spare bits) to my little brother. He didn't bother building it up so I've nicked it back off him and cobbled it together with all the lfgss bargains I've been hoarding. You still doing hhv by the way?

@umop3pisdn, the rims are not wide :(

  • I remember you saying!

Not been doing it as life has been busy / not had the drive too.
Would like to but also would prefer to go cycle in the real world when I get the opportunity to.

Get some gumwalls and nice cranks on the pre cursa and it will be a great track bike.

  • After months of riding my 'beater' bike with wonky wheels (with missing spokes from the giant pannier bag damaging it), bogged job rear tyre and incorrect bike fit, the overhaul is complete and I am glad to say that I'm finally riding fixed again:

  • So there has been several modifications/upgrades towards my all-city, most noticeable is the new 55mm deep rims from light-bicycle.com laced with cx-rays to the new surely fixed disc hub, which from the guy who built them said they're one of the nicest wheelset he has built and I should try not crash these ones.

Also after my bike fit at cycle-fit I realised that the bike I was riding needed a few adjustments with lowering my saddle and getting a -17 120mm stem to get the correct reach and stack to the all-city, which gave the opportunity to slam the stem (with a 1mm spacer)

As this was becoming a little mini overhaul there was some fine tweaks, (especially with the front trp disc brake to correct the alignment) and the usual clean to give the old gala new lease of life.

  • try not to crash these ones

Sage advice, I hope you will heed it.

  • All kinds of win!

  • Not fully happy with the look of the rear tbh, might swap the pannier and rack for a saddle bag later on.

  • It's the only odd thing. Blends you in with the common commuters though. How big are the tyres, and how do they feel with the deep rims?

  • conti attack always has been good to me with that problem.

  • not really a beater without a CK headset is it?

  • this is unbelievable !
I'm allergic to Tomson but wooaw !
    What's the bartape Hoke ?

  • True, but I've never been a guy who likes to blend in ;)

Tyres are 35mm marathon supreme, and having deep and wide wheels feels amazingly fast!

  • On the xmas list! (might even throw in CK BB too for extra hipster points)
