I like the way flatmount returns to the International Standard way of thinking in that putting a bolt in to a threaded caliper or adapter is superior to putting a bolt through a caliper in to a threaded frame
For this reason alone I'd go flat mount.
That said, the front flat mount still bolts directly in to the fork.

Thanks @amey - I still don't understand the practical benefits of flat mount though. Just the way it looks?
