aesthetics and I guess thats where the road disc are heading/headed. There is no price diff between PM and flat mount calipers now.
You can get these (there is a flat mount option): http://www.probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-brakes-and-pads/shimano-st-rs685-hydraulic-disc-brake-mechanical-sti-s-pair/11211789.html
Compile a groupset with separate parts and use a flat to post mount adapter in the front.
if there is no cost diff get the rear flat mount and once the enve flat mount forks are out replace them if you feel OCD .. tbh they might be out by the time your frame is done .. or this: https://masoncycles.cc/blog/aperture2-is-coming

Can someone please explain the pros and cons of post mount versus flat mount?
My frame builder has just asked if I want post mount of flat mount fitting on the rear drops. The build is specced with an Enve CX fork, which I believe is post mount. Having same fitting front and rear seems to make sense. Also, the Ultegra Disc groupset I am looking at is only currently in stock with post mount brakes. For those reasons alone I was going to go for post mount.
Am I missing something? Or should I just go for post mount.
