for me the first episode came together properly towards the end (when it gets to the Get Down) and kind of sets the rest of the series storyline up from there. it's a silly premise but as a hip hop fan it's a fun/enjoyable one

I'm a huge hip hop fan (though I thought this actually made me like it less for it's pony portrayal of hip hop culture), but the acting is terrible.. isn't it?

I dunno. Missus liked it, so I'll probably end up watching more.

It can't be worse than "Empire" in its depiction of the music industry/hip hop.

Started watching the original Danish series The Killing. Managed somewhow to not see it until now. Bloody good so far.

saw a small clip was enough for me looked terrible which is a shame as the subject matter and the backdrop of NYC is a great story
