I went through that whole rigmarole recently. The only place apart from Sigma (where I didn't go) that I could find was Fitzrovia Cycles, who are lovely and will order Sidis in for you to try on, as well as having a small number in stock when I went. In the end, they couldn't order the ones I wanted (Giau) because the importer hadn't, erm, imported them, but they tried their best and I can warmly recommend them.

Managed to pick up a pair of brand new sidi dominator 5s in size 52 off the internet for cheap. I wear UK 15 shoes and Shimano SPD 52s so thought they'd be alright. Got 'em today, tried them on and they're at least 2 sizes too big. :(
Guess there's nowhere I can try 51s or 50s anywhere? And anyone after some 52s?

Just to clarify, these would be equivalent to a UK 17?

Would anyone be interested in a pair of Sidi Chaos I have bought for next season but I've just found out I'll be getting Giro shoes as part of next seasons deal so I won't be able to race in them and it seems a little pointless just having them for the sake of it. I've mounted cleats and ridden them on the turbo to check they're in the right place but that's it you couldn't tell them apart from a new shoe. They're size 44 1/2, I take a 45 in Giro and Specialized shoes and found the 45 in these a touch large so went down half a size. I paid £159.95 for them, obviously I don't want to loose too much money but accept people will be looking for a deal so £100 posted is what I'd start at.

US17, it turns out. In my experience euro size 52 has always been uk15, which would fit me. But on the box these say euro 52 US17, which would be a UK16.

Slightly too small for me or I'd grab these- great price.

So before I send them back, is anyone interested (or does anyone know anyone who might be interested) in a pair of UK size 16 Dominator 5s? They're brand new, I've done nothing but try them on and I'm not after making money on them so would want to shift them on for the £45 I bought them for.

Anyone know any shops in London that stock size 50 Sidis to try on? Or maybe 49s (although they might fold my toes under my feet).
Oh, and is anyone interested in a pair of brand new in box unworn size 16UK Sidi Genius 5 mega road shoes?

Does anyone know if the sidi wire shoe has changed much over the years? From what I can see there is a slightly updated "push" version of the tecno buckle, but I can't see anything else.

The strap that holds the ratchet on my Dominators broke this morning. Does anyone know where I can pick one up in central London today? Condor don't stock it apparently.

Had the same problem some time back - couldn't find any in central London shops.
Eventually found some in Brixton Cycles although they were slightly thinner and the wrong colour. -

Best to order them ASAP, and use a toe strap to hold your shoes together (worked surprisingly well).

try Fitzrovia Cycles.

Are Sidi MTB shoes still the best?
My Dominators have failed (the bottom has worn down so any walking is now full-on cleat walking... they might as well be road shoes with ATAC cleats).
The thing is, Sidi shoes are expensive, and when I had super-expensive Dragons the Lorica tops only lasted a year, and so I went to cheaper Dominators but the bottoms have gone after a couple of years.
If they could pair the Dominator top halves with the Dragon SRS bottoms they'd have a shoes that could last more than 2 years.
So... £150-£200 to spend... another pair of Sidi Dominator? Or something else altogether?
Hmm... further reading suggests that Sidi got rid of the Lorica stuff on the Dragons... has anyone got a recent pair?

I have three pairs of dragons (2 & 3's) and my original pair are still going strong after several years (7,000 miles a year) but I've changed the replaceable soles a ouple of times.
Just tried some Giro VR90's -heels fell off after 200 miles, replaced with S-works trail - boa bracket snapped after 3 rides. S-works are prettty good, stiff but soles can't be replaced. Good price at the moment form Evans

I've got the Dragon 3s and they've been great so far, I've had them about a year and there's nowt wrong with them... yet to really take them offroad and give em some proper cx action though

TBH, it's not like I do either.
But I want a single pair of shoes for long-distance road cycling, for London fixed cycling, for commuting all year round, to be able to walk into shops and restaurants without falling over on highly polished wooden or tiled floors, to have enough grip to safely ascend/descend the three flights of marbled stairs in the office.
It's a whole mixed bag of cycling and then walking on polished floors wipes out the idea of road shoes.
I use the same pedals (Time ATAC) on all of my bikes, from the fixed to the tourer to the road. So this is one pair of shoes for all bikes, all forms of cycling... except, as it turns out, mountain biking which I barely do a day or two of each year (when on holiday).
Sidi remains the best fit, and they last fairly well... except older Dragon uppers really didn't last all year round and took too much of a beating in winter (I seldom wear shoe covers) and Dominator soles are too soft and wear too quickly for the hard surface walking that is part of the commute.
If the Dragon uppers can now survive a winter and still look almost newish, are easy to clean when they're covered in sticky grit from commuting in the rain... then I'm tempted to try them out again. The Lorica uppers were the only thing that sucked about those.

Hmmm, I pretty much do the same tbh, aiming to take them properly off road when I move back to Essex but at the moment, they're mainly used for commuting and longish rides. Might be worth another punt @Velocio... hope you get something sorted as there's quite a bit to choose from... used to be a big fan of Mint Sauce so liking your pic!

Sidi shoes are expensive
I got a pair of Giaus last year. It was hard to get because the main SIDI importers to Germany and the UK don't import them.
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/12639720/
They don't have any fancy ratchet mechanisms but are basic and simple, which is what I wanted, and they were about €80 less than the other models, which may well be why the importers don't import them. I eventually had to get mine from a German eBay shop.
They may not be what you want, but I'm very happy with them (as I was with my previous SIDIs, which lasted for about 13 years before the Velcro straps became too fragile and I tore them).

If Jo Burt were willing to do a custom design of full Mint Sauce for one of my bikes, I'd get it done in an instant.
the only way now really is to order from evans then try out in store and ask for refund straightaway if they don't fit.
