why dont you use the one thats on your old fork?
-
• #3
Yes I will , will it remove easily and do you know how to fit it to other fork ? And specific tools?

Its what is known as a split race, so thats the gap in it. Should come off very easily. Try with a small sharp knife, gently wotk it in and then move it around.

for fitting it to the fork try using a hoover extension tube such as one of these
they're about the right size for a 1 1/8 head tube and most people have one lying about the house. use it in place of this (which is the correct tool)

being a split bearing race it should go on pretty easily.

Thanks , think I'll take lbs to get crown race fitted so will just let them remove it.

No probs and dont feel stupid, got to be a first time for everything!
Noob question. Am I right in thinking I need to fit a crown race to my new tusk fork (right) in order to replace my old fork (left) ? It's for use with an integrated headset.
