Greetings folks,
I went down to the lovely Brixton Cycles on Saturday morning to have the new flight deck installed. So took all the new bling down there.. I knew I was carrying some serious kit as before the ticket had even been written out, pics of the stem were posted on Instagram by Junior. John then did the honours in the workshop.
For the spotters I now have the following
Bonavia Cycles custom stem
Fizik Cyrano R1 Chameleon carbon handlebars
Brooks apple green leather bar tape
TRP drilled brake levers. Left hand lever removed to comply with my zen -like state of only having exactly what is necessary...
So I left Brixton Cycles in a state somewhat like having a lovely new pair of shoes, I couldn't stop looking downwards.....
The stem is incredibly stiff and rock solid and having drop handlebars means I now have a much more comfortable ride.
For those not just lookin' at the bike....
If gardening is your thing, our fennel and hollyhocks have been particularly good this year...
If diy is your thing. We had a new skim coat applied to the front wall recently and then repainted it which has really set the garden off nicely...
So I'm absolutely delighted with the whole project. In no particular order.... the transatlantic nature of it, the look, the comfort, the improvement, the beauty, the win.
I rode up Church Lane this morning feeling as if I was in some sort of epic Rapha advert, well maybe a hairier version thereof...
Aiming to up the fitness now and then get some big rides in for 2017.
