  • I was thinking this too. I think they are travelling at 25mph+ so you would have thought some tighter clothing could save a 100th of a second. Hopefully one of the gurus from the aerodynamics thread can chip in.

    At a guess, I suspect they don't run for long enough

    Continuing my guess, I'd imagine it would be like putting fairings on a tipper truck; the base shape is so un-aero that any gain you get is going to be so marginal it's difficult to pull the gain out from the noise.

    That said I'm sure @umop3pisdn etc has some better formed thoughts on it than I.
