I hadn't realised at time but one point before cp1 I was joint leader. Let them and 2 more go but it isn't a race with published positions so immaterial where finished. 2 or 3 big nav errors after cp2 and spent 2nd half run looking for runners behind to assure me I was on correct path. Kept distance until last Nav error near finish where I emerged just behind the next runner.
Bodged race kit carrying solution worked well. Backpack didn't notice, waist bag & jersey pockets held everything I needed to access plus leg pockets weren't too flappy when full 330ml soft flask in each.
Only refilled bottles at cp 3 and food wise ate:
4 x jurek balls
1 x Trek bar
2 x fig rolls
4 x custard creams (at once between cp3 & 4 when I was flagging).
It hurt to decline cake sweets & chocolate at each cp, but wanted to see how it was carrying (much more than) enough.
Finish had pasta, rice pud & cake so I gratefully accepted.
That was fun & cloudy/windy.

10/10 would do again just for bag patch.
