will wait for @andyp to get involved and tell us we rode the easy side of Gospel Pass just as we went lite on the L'izoard. but felt tasty enough as is and we were happy to put it to bed before amazing descent into Hay on Wye

Gospel pass is a whopper! the Hay on Wye side is deffo the harder ascent, but it's also a much nicer descent going down that way than going down to Abergavenny.

the descent into Hay was brilliant. you could tell it would have been much harder tackled from that side. the loop was one of those strange ones yesterday where it felt like there was more down than up
