  • I love everything about the results from transparencies. I find it totally inspiring and challenging to shoot, but it's not cheap, and dev is definitely not cheap (about £7-9 here).

    One day I may make the jump, buy a scanner and do my own E6 at home and just be happy with just shooting slides (and b&w) ... but I'm not quite up for that yet.

  • Scanning slides is really difficult due to their very high dmax. Really need an imacon or a drum scanner....

  • I've always found colour negatives trickier to scan than slides with the QUATO I have,
    with E6 I usually have way less trouble getting the colours right.

  • I've heard this.

    I used to get ok results years ago with a Nikon scanner (a dedicated film thing). Flatbeds I guess are not really up to it.
