@JB the rack is designed to be secured by the QR skewer. I've got it secured to the mudguard mount. Might try to lower it somehow. I don't plan on carrying a massive amount of weight so shouldn't be a major issue.
@macaroon pedal strike isn't an issue. BB height is around 15mm lower with the 650b wheels/tyres. I don't plan on riding the Red Hook Crit on it anytime soon so I'll just continue to coast around corners.... ;-)
