just checking before I try to change my entry on the CTT website but a 2 up doesn't count as a pb of a LTS right?
-
• #13928
No, neither does tricycle ride if you're entering a bicycle race. Qualifying times have to be the same class as what you're entering.

cool, the new CTT website had automatically assigned last weeks 2 up result as a PB and LTS, assumed they'd have coded the rules in but apparently not! all sorted now...

It does the same for tandems. At least thanks to my bug report you both get assigned a time, before that it was first come first served as far as claiming times done as part of a team :-)

Slung an entry in for the BDCA 100 - anyone else? @Sainsburys_Ed I think you said you fancied it?
I've only done 6 opens so far this year!
-
• #13934
Yep, will enter soon....

HC season starts very soon-I have two weekends available for doing qualifying rides on, but on one of them I'm out from 6-5. How bad an idea, on a scale from 1-10, is doing a hillclimb with a 9am start having been out until 5?

It's only 3 minutes turning yourself inside out. Think of it as a penance.

Don't drop until late in the night and you'll still have a bit of an afterglow...

Freshly kebab fuelled - sounds like a winner.

what do you need to do to get into the national HC? do you need to enter the ctt event, if so when etc?
wouldnt mind having getting in as a target for this or next yr
-
• #13941
You'll need 3 qualifying open events, as highly placed as possible. I think 9th, 10th and 11th got me in last year. Hoping to ride in on Rich Bussell's coat tails this year

Anyone want my old front hillclimb wheel by the way? 499g, might try and kill you.

• #13943
as in any HC event? and what's the deadline etc.. and do the nationals appear on ctt site for you to sign up like any other open event?
-
• #13944
Any Open event - so racess that you enter in advance. See here - filter to Hill Climbs under distance:
https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/find-events
You enter the national like any other event, just be sure to add your qualifying rides. Entry closes 11th of October.

Can't find that Nat HC on the CTT site - When/where is it? And no, I don't own a fucking handbook.
-
• #13947
Cheers - Didn't show when using the HC filter...

I really hope I get in. I'm only going to get 4 events in before it closes, two of which aren't hugely suited to fixed, and Catford and Bec which I can't see myself finishing too highly at.
-
• #13949
Does the Nat HC not work on LTS then?
If you ride the Catford I'll do my best to come over and shout abuse, it's not too far up the road for me.

Nationals in general are qualified on results since January 1st of the year preceding the championship. It was more obvious in the olden days when there was a separate championship entry form :-)
Me too. Tested faster too.
