Day one : thoughts so far.... When are train companies going to get a grip on the number of tickets needed for this type of journey . I kid you not, 25 tickets came out of the mouth of that machine this morning.
Thought 2 .... The Welsh love a bit of pebble dash.
Thought 3 .... Abergavenny is more than just a provincial shit dump with dodgy beers and crap female darts teams. Happy to pass on Airbnb info to anybody looking to ride in the area.

Enjoyed the first venture out into the Welsh black top. Deceptively uphill in one direction and joyfully down in the other. Can't wait to get back out tomorrow amongst some of these unpronounceable hills.
Food report: had a bottle of coconut water/ pineapple juice with a teaspoon of molasses . Breakfasted on egg whites, spirallena and purple cornflour.
