still want a go on it.

No Man's Sky is basically a survival from the sound of it.

Then there was the farce of developing your character and equipment for sneaky-stealthy style only to find yourself locked in a room with a tooled-up meathead boss and no reasonable way of beating him.
That was a bit of a joke. I hope they've learned from that. Especially cause I always aim for a largely non-lethal/stealth playthrough.

People hear what they want to hear. I watched a few videos on NMS some months ago and it was obvious it wasnt MMO and wasn't intended to be

Basically what I did...
Depends what types of games you like but I'd say yes if you don't have a capable pc.
You're welcome to pop over and play it...

I'm currently bashing my way through Saints Row: Gat out of Hell
It's very short and incredibly repetitive, but a hoot at the same time.
Was free on PS+ last month so have it a crack.

Interested to hear people's thoughts on No Mans Sky so far. Yet to see a review from anyone who's opinion I trust.

^Yeah equally curious, will likely purchase on PC when it appears.
Also, what is all the fuss about RDR? Completely missed that boat, never played/read about etc just seen the fandom that surrounds it.
Worth a pop? -

Mine should arrive tomorrow. I'll forget to give you a review then.

so apparently, if you have the pre-order bonus ship it came with a hyper drive.
find a new ship, change ship, discover you have no hyper drive, nor blue print to build one.During the tutorial (without pre-order ship) you have a bit where you get the blueprint and have to build it. This is skipped if you have the pre-order ship
-
• #15487
This is incorrect. I have the pre order ship and was given the hyper drive blueprint about 30 mins after my first warp.

So far im really enjoying it but the variety in planets isn't as great as it could be.
I think someone on reddit said it felt as though each of the algorithms parameters were set between -1.0 and 1.0 rather than -10.0 and 10.
Having said that, I'm about 12-14 hours in and still loving it. The novelty of exploring new planets and moons hasn't worn off at all and the Atlas 'mystery' is keeping me interested.
Finally, the size of it is mind boggling. My starter planet was roughly 172,500 light years from the center of the galaxy. I've made over 20 warp jumps now and am about 171,000 light years from the centre. I have just unlocked a blueprint for warp drive though so once I've built that, I'll be making larger jumps than I have been.
Given what they team at Hello Games managed to change from the gold master to the 1.03 patch (in less than 10 days) I'm excited for the future of the game. Base building and freighter ships are next up...
This is my favourite screenshot I've taken so far:
It's from a barren moon but I flew to the planet in the shot shortly afterwards and it looked like this:

Totally - by far the best cowboy game ever. Interesting storyline/characters etc, beautiful world, great variety of missions, side-quests, weaponry, scope for adapting your playing style. Also a fun DLC with cowboy zombies. Very little not to love, will be much disappoint if Rockstar's big hints aren't related to a sequel.

Another giant +1 for RDR.

• #15492
Agreed. I don't want to spoil anyone's fun (the discovery is part of how awesome it is) but the way it's set up is very fluid and draws you in excellently. I would say it's worth buying a PS4 for, in the same way that Last Of Us was worth buying a PS3 for.

I've almost finished RDR, just the last 3 missions to go.
It's definitely worth playing the main story line. Still not sure why it took me 6 years to play it, I even pre-ordered it lol -
• #15495
I bought RDR on release day and did Friday pub followed by Regents Park tramp beers followed by Camden followed by crash, ambulance and Whittington Hospital. Remember coming to and being relieved to see my relatively undamaged (broken front spoke) bike on the other side of the room, then checking my bag for the game. All good.
My face was a bit fucked up but I just considered that getting into character.

You know how when you explore the games, you're thinking that the map seemed big enough?
It much bigger than it look, I was surprised when progressing through RDR that they included maps I never thought they'd put together.

Anyone bothered with any of the Fallout 4 DLC?
Didnt get the season pass (but I did get a pipboy) decided to fire it up last night and am thinking of getting the little add ons.
Worth it? -
• #15498
If you enjoy settlement building then yes, there's loads of extra shit for that, if you're after quests then probably just get Far Harbor
-
• #15499
I quite liked that aspect and have finished the story so have upped it to survival and am playing it in a sandboxy way, it really makes you appreciate your settlements more and makes the investment in them a little more worthwile

Far Harbor is great, more Fallout-y due to the way the quest is designed.
I think there has been a) not many actual chances for Q&A's, and certainly nothing much in the way of demos, and b) a whole boat load of hype.
