    COME ON SKINNY!

  • I want to go to bed too...

    COME ON SKINNY!

Admit it, you just want to have his babies.

  • London has jumped the shark.

  • I see a theme going on.

Are we nearly there yet (/repost)?

  • Absolutely!

Its 0200 in Turkey now so the next ferries are 0400 from Eceabat or the 0530 from Kilitbahir.

This is where the ferries could conceivably come into play because skinny went through gallipoli at 1158 local time and so could possibly have caught either the 0000 or even the 0100 ferries to Lapseki and spent less time stopped and waiting.

If Geoffroy is close then taking the gallipoli ferry could see him overtake skinny while he's stuck waiting in one of the other ports.

  • Isn't it a dick move to turn your tracker off deliberately?

  • Of course true sports keep their dots live until the end. Switching trackers off is severely "frowned up on".

Official twitter feed says yes. I'm dreading seeing Geoffroy's dot pop up on the other shore...

  • James has reached Eceabat. Dussault still inactive.

  • From what I could find the Eceabat ferry runs hourly through the night but Kilitbahir stops until 06.30, tho none of the schedules I've found look to be very up to date.

Comparing Carlos and Kristof's run ins it appears that it's 10 mins extra to ride to Kilitbahir and the crossing is 10 mins shorter, so knowing the ferry schedule could be vital.

Anyway, looks like skinny is waiting at Eceabat.

  • Wahey! What an amazing ride. Very well done @skinny! Completely in awe!

  • The thing is that it opens up challenge to your ride; you could be doing a Nibali and skitching a bus for all anyone knows as much as just trying to keep on the down low so your nearest rivals are kept guessing.

I hope skinny kicks his ass

  • These were the ferry times I was looking at. On my phone, and my Turkish isn't great so not sure how reliable they are.

  • I agree. While I doubt anyone racing is checking their rivals' locations on the tracker (may be wrong) it still seems against the spirit to switch it off.

(This is all assuming he has - could be out of battery, or switched off because he's stopped for a long period)

  • And yes, according to that the next ferry from Eceabat is in an hour and nine minutes.

(Got to say I would have preferred to have the race finish without use of a ferry. For instance if you had to go to the port at Eceabat and your arrival time there was your finish time, even if you then have a victory lap of sorts riding off the ferry into Canakkale. Don't like the idea of someone losing position due to ferries. Might just be me though.)

  • Skinny finished!

  • Brilliant ride @skinny.

Already excited at the prospect of your chances next year.

  • Well done @skinny. Great ride

  • Amazing ride @skinny - to come back from illness and finish fourth is astounding. Well done!

  • Chapeau.

  • Shit. I'll never be able to use that Word again if this effort is the base line.

  • Amazing ride @skinny, well done. Your charge back up the rankings made for excellent entertainment at this end.

  • Really looking forward to @skinny 's ride next year. That ride certainly deserved the Combativity Award. Very glad the neck held out as well (great physio help on that one).

  • @Oliver Schick. It would, of course, have to finish on the other side of the Woolwich Ferry.
