• What's going on with Matthew Falconer's dot? It's shown just ahead of hippy's, but according to the list he hasn't reached Passo di Giau yet. I suspect it's just an odd GPS malfunction.

I'm not quite sure who's last on the road at the moment. There are some who are still shown as active but who must surely have scratched a long time ago.

  • Green Lanes

  • Green Lanes for that authentic Turkish threat of cock/knife stabbing experience

  • Old Kent Road for that authentic kidney punch experience, only for the brave.

  • Seems Freeroute is being a bit premature in giving a finish. It's been declaring the end somewhere just past Eceabat, in Kristof's case while he was still riding to Kilitbahir. The map dots give a more accurate picture.

Which is a relief as thinking I was getting delayed info was giving me a real "fear of missing out", will go and calm my nerves with an Efes, anyone know where I might be able to get one?

  • Thanks gentlemen.

So while I was pedalling this got me thinking, surely we could do some sort of transcontinental alleycat within London?

  • From Little Belgium to Green Lanes, via the Muur van Canonbie Road? Sounds good.

  • I just can't believe Geoffroy's tracker would coincidentally blink out the moment @skinny passed him. Unless he's proper fucked, nor can understand why he'd stop so close to the end...

    #stealthattack #conspiracytheory

  • via Beckton Alps

  • Might have thrown it at him

  • via Beckton Alps

    Must do.

  • Someone else may have noticed the coincidence. A tweet's just gone out from Transcontinental stating that switching trackers off is severely 'frowned up on'.

    It is exciting though.

  • Dussault's tracker is saying paused but his current speed at 23.5kph, is that an indication that it was switched off while moving?

  • Question based on this tweet

Another pro dot watcher tip: Some riders appear to stop moving but checking their individual histories can show if its a power down #stealth

    Swiss Cottage
    Petty France
    Little Venice

  • A friend has come across a couple of riders in Montenegro earlier today.

  • Yesterday I went to the organic store on Green lanes to buy some sourdough. Discovered they'd sold out so had to go to the organic coffee shop a few doors down.

I miss those days where people used to fight buses.

I know Clément envisaged an alleycat, but this is more like a pub crawl (which is basically how hippy is treating the TCR).

    • Start at the Dove on Broadway Market with pre-ride Belgian beers (we'll have to pretend we don't know teetotallers like WornCleat or any Belgian people present will look at us askance).

    • Down to South Kensington to the 'French quarter', via Petty France (I just don't quite know whether we should really follow hippy's lead and drink French beer instead of wine).

    • Up to Swiss Cottage.

    • To Clerkenwell and 'Little Italy'.

    • I'm a bit stumped about concentrations of Balkan culture in London. There seem to be a lot of institutions in the general vicinity of Bayswater/Holland Park, but no obvious place to go, e.g. to drink. There are Kosovans and Albanians around Green Lanes.

    • It seems likewise with Greek places in London. They are well-distributed all over the city.

    • Finally, for Turkey we can do either Dalston or Green Lanes. I think Dalston has more mainland Turkish places, although Green Lanes is no longer exclusively Cypriot.

I know that I haven't put the Beckton Alps in. :)

Anyone keen on this or is it just taking a silly joke too far?

  • Oliver

It would obviously be necessary to ride alone carrying all your kit; get lost; get chased by dogs; have a mental and physical breakdown but carry on.

Half the riders would scratch. All of them would smell atrocious.

  • Spend more time tweeting than actually riding- do loads of drugs. Yeah i'm in.

  • Translondonental

    Think I can.
    Know I can't.
    Scratch in Belgium.

  • Half the riders would scratch themselves because of fleas. All of them would smell atrocious.

Judging from being on previous forum rides, neither of these would be difficult for any of us to achieve.

  • Skinny on the finishing straight but Dussault still yet to decloak. Looks like I'm not going to bed for a while yet.
