A little harsh? Some people are technically good photographers, but just cannot do people photos - they're better with inanimate objects. I like photos of children, and dogs, and maybe a bit more variation of viewpoint would be advantageous, but I think calling it dross fails to give it any appreciation. As for the umbrella photo, I'd like to see the full image, as I suspect that what is shown here is cropped, and by quite some margin. I don't mind being wrong about this though.
Dont bring me into it.....I made it clear brolly shot was heavily cropped......Its a tool I used to create an effect .....If I had a zoom lens that is what end result would have been....
