Anyone got an opinion on the Jamis Renegade?

someone's selling a new Renegade frameset on Singletrack-think it's large, not sure what size you're after.

I've ordered a CAADX with 105. Slick tyres + mudguard also in the post. Will try and get some second hand or sale Spyres.

You picked this up yet?
Deliberating on going CAADX too. My only grumble is the colour and the Shimano. Different colour plus SRAM hydro = yes.
Was seriously considering Jamis renegade frame-only and building it up, but was going to be expensive and can't convince myself carbon touring/trekking is a remotely sensible option even for all the stiffness in the world.
Then I was thinking Ti would be nice, but got thinking about a Krampus.
Basically, I have no idea any more. Aidez moi si vous plait...

It arrived today. I got the black and white one with 105. I'm not a fan of Shimano but somehow now own 3 bikes with it. I've already swapped the tyres out for 28mm Michelin Pro Endurance. I'll put on the mudguard when I get time.
I had similar thoughts about the Jamis but not sure how much I fancy putting extra weight on it if I do any distance riding/touring. The CAADX has rear rack mounts too. -

How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking?
Seen a couple of ex-display Ultegra models in the camo green/white fork for £950ish and not sure if I should hold off for the sales...
One thing from riding my CAAD10 is I'm aware of how thin the alu is-do caadx's have the same fragility? Wanting to start riding fire roads and trails with relatively light loads so not sure if the Surly is worth the weight penalty.

I've no idea about fragility, I haven't heard seen any complaints online. It weighs enough for me to not think it's paper thin.
Cable pull shouldn't be an issue.
