At local bike shop, Mechanic Jake is prepping for the "Race to the Rock", Adelaide to Uluru.

He'll have to carry all those bottles plus two hydration bladders, as there's really not many shops on the way.

Thats a mad race! This is why I like my surly fork and wald combo, you can still carry 2 extra water bottles for a bivi and have a load up top

Mad is 0ne word to describe it. I would probably die trying something like that. Inland Australia is a harsh and unforgiving place. Get stranded and your next chance to get water is a looooong way away.
