I'm going to try a much a bigger wrench, as I've access to a motor vehicle and full engineering workshop. But, its more being able to get the leverage without ripping the entire crank section out of the frame.
Would an impact wrench be too brutal?

If you want to isolate the NDS crank as a holding point, it would not be rocket science to build a jig to engage the spindle bore and the pedal eye.
