I am thinking of selling my Rychtarski, anybody know how much I should charge for it? I paid quite a bit on eBay when I bought it.
-
• #231
Vague question is vague.
-
• #232
How much you pay? How long ago? Whats changed about the bike? Whats the Rychtarski lo pro persuit market looking like?
-
• #233
Paid a ridiculous 836 on eBay (only won by one pound) top tube has the most minuscule ding, apart from that it's basically the same. They come up so rarely on eBay that I wouldn't know how to describe the market, if anybody is interested please feel free to PM me a sensible offer as I am moving and need some extra funds. I may even throw in this trispoke.

£800 BIN? with offer Pedal room / insta as well might be a good shout
-
• #236
If anybody on here wants it for a lot less than that, feel free to give me a shout.

Is insta generally a good place to sell? Or only if you have a large sub base? Or if you use a hell of a lot of tags? :)

I have sold on instagram before (yes, with hashtags) however I do find there is also a lot of flakiness so primarily sell here.
And I also bought my cannondale track off a lady on Instagram!

Off of Amy Danger in Portland? Ooh, she's got tons of them! I wonder if you ended up paying a lot of import tax for that (if you don't mind sharing)?.. Cheers
-
• #241
Amy actually did me a solid and marked it as a cannondale capo so I didn't get too badly stung on import. Lucky it didn't get damaged during transportation
-
• #242
are you saying UK customs people can tell a capo vs a track in its respective value??? unbelievable
-
• #243
I think they just go off what the value is stated as. As long as it isn't ridiculous, like you mark a bike frame at like £5 or something like that, you should get away with it
-
• #244
It's marked on the box, essentially they will know. The import for my "capo" was £70, so imagine what it would have been for a frame that in reality costs at least 8 x the capo.
-
• #245
except you pay import on the actual cost of the goods, not the market cost. so what it physically is sort of doesn't matter, the value on the commercial invoice is what matters.
-

2nd hand Ctrack is way more expensive than a brand new Capo anyways...
-
• #247
Of course. I don't really know how the customs work, the seller just said to avoid customs tax she will mark it as a cheaper frame
Decided I may not sell Rychtarski...it's a great frame that has been abroad with me and I would really regret selling it. Also I won't get anywhere near what I paid so isn't really worth it

Some bikes aren't meant to be sold

True that

Can rychtarski build with stainless steel?
~£700 for frame and max forks. Probably 500ish for frame only I'd guess
