Finally got what we think is the last session on my knee octopus today.

Originally was meant to be 1 session but turned out to be 4, 17 ½ hours in total!

I'm not normally an ink fan, but that I like.

ouch, just spotted a mistake of a Chinese character on a new tattoo (not on me) by an artist I know... should I say something?

Filip Leu and Mike Roper spring to mind .

Only if it's fixable ?! My new housemate is called Jason and is straight as far as I can tell but he's got the Chinese transliteration for Tony tattooed on his arm.. I haven't asked him why yet...

@ExTra Yes. Tell them. Better you break it gently than having every other Chinese reader lolling at them.

I am not sure if it can be fixed, I don't have the skills to judge. I mean its a back piece so the character could be quite large, so possibly as the artist is very experienced. The other thing is that the same character is on the tattoo twice and they are both wrong in 2 different ways...

Shit, just looked at it again... spotted another slight mistake on another character, this 1 can be fixed, even I can tell how... 3 out of 9 is pretty bad... can't blame the artist though.

I am gonna check with my Japanese friend to ensure it is wrong in both languages, as some characters are virtually identical.

@Hefty, that's what I am thinking, as I really like the shop and the artist and I have become a bit of a regular... but how would you start the conversation? It's a weird one... and I don't want them to take it the wrong way...

Can you post a link.. I'm really curious now (am Chinese so can't help with the Japanese front)
