Ahh thanks, I"ll keep an eye out. My only problem is my current bike got stolen so I'm bikeless and it's driving me mad (as well as adding an hour to my commute each day) So I really don't want to wait for too long.

Sent a pair of trainers last week saturday, the 30th of July and buyer has now opened a request on ebay saying that he has not received it yet, I have already supplied proof of postage etc, and in his request told me to "sort it out with Royal mail".
What should i do next? The trainers only sold for about £15

If you have no tracking number, there's not much you can do. You'll have to refund the cunt buyer and claim the 'loss' (up to £20 I believe) from Royal Mail if not sent tracked/recorded.

Royal mail have a minimum amount of time before you can request a claim. 15 days or something like that. I'd wait until that has passed before refunding him. Its only been 5 days so a bit hasty for him to open a claim.

@Poetic that is what I was thinking too, I'm just going to tell him to wait until next wednesday or so and if it hasnt turned up by then, he can get his refund.
@haveo The only problem is that if "the buyer is not satisfied with the outcome by 12 Aug" he can escalate the case so i won't be able to wait for that long. But i'll ask him to wait for atleast another week or so until i can sort it out with royal mail before he opens/escalates his case. This is assuming that hes a somewhat reasonable person though. Jokes on you, a seller can't give negative feedback! Fuck eBay.
I message sellers and try arrange the sale direct via PayPal. A price reduction normally works when I tell them they won't be paying eBay 10% of the sale price... -

I agreed to buy this and went to collect it today.
I took it to Sigma Sport to get a BB fitted and they found that the metal BB cups in the shell - which should be bonded into the frame - were loose, and that the frame was basically shot.
I took the bike back again and got my money back- the seller genuinely seemed not to know much and said he was selling on behalf of his son. Definitely didn't seem dodgy. I explained the problem, and that someone would probably still want to buy it and take on the repair.
However, when I got home I saw it had been relisted with no information about the fucked BB shell.
Should I report it?
TL;DR: This frame is fucked and the seller knows it. He doesn't seem dodgy so wtf?

I told it all to him very clearly though so sending it to him just seems a bit patronising. I think I should have a word though.
The thing that worries me is that the offer he actually accepted through Ebay was a guy in the US. Imagine waiting for the frame to arrive then finding it was fucked.

I don't mean to stick my nose in but I couldn't help but notice that the frame has been relisted without any mention of the issue that it has.
This is something which is going to cause a problem for whoever ends up buying the frame - either somebody who knows how to fit the bottom bracket themself will notice when they attempt it, or any shop they take it to to have it fitted will flag it up straight away.
If you sell it to somebody without making them aware of this it might end up being very expensive for them and for you as a seller to rectify.

I just won an item very very cheap on ebay.
I have an ungrounded fear that the seller will try to recoup on postage cost (I'm in denmark so had to request a new total amoount).
As far as I know he could probably still cancel the sale somehow.Can I do anything to prevent those events?

If he tries to charge a stupid amount for postage, tell him you'll sort the shipping out. That means all he has to do is box it up.
If he refuses to sell it to you not much you can do I think except leave a nice juicy negative comment!

Yeah you'll be able to give negative feedback if they go back on their agreement and that is pretty bad for sellers.
What did you win?
If its within the paypal timescale then you have full rights. Its up to him to get the stuff to you and subsequently prove it.
