  • Are there any jerseys for long torsos and wider shoulders, but without a big paunch?

The core jersey is flappy around the midriff, and the training jersey stops above my navel.

  • The core bibs, though, are on point.

Comparing them to the aero bibs, they're as comfy, if not as swanky looking.

  • Can anyone remember if the touring or other "casual" shorts ended up in the August sale last year?

  • I think the touring shorts were, cos I bought a pair and didn't wear them for 6 months.

  • Any longer term reviews of core bibs? Someone said the grippers were shit?

  • i use my core shorts more than any any other pair at the moment, got them a week after they came out.

Grippers are cool, the arse material is a bit see through in direct sunlight sometimes though

  • arse material is a bit see through

    Sounds sub-optimal.

  • Just ride south until sunset.

  • I say that, no one has ever commented apart from my other half who was perhaps being pedantic.

  • Namibia jersey please...

  • Any longer term reviews of core bibs? Someone said the grippers were shit?

That may have been me. The Core's have a large swath of gripper material backed by elastic sewn into the bottom of the shots. I have to turn up the gripper material to get them on, otherwise the gripper material prevents you from pulling them up.
Also, the elastic backing to the gripper material doesn't work at keeping it flush to your legs - you end up with a baggy bottom to the shorts.
It's also been pointed out to me that they're quite see-through in the arse cheek area.

I still wear them for commuting most days - fit is more relaxed compared to Pro Team bibs, but still just about keeps ahem things in place.
Wouldn't buy again - would buy another brand if spending the same money, or spend up to get another pair of club or pro team

  • Cheers gents. Will avoid.

  • I think they are superb. Great fit, comfortable pad and good value for money.

  • @croft ribble had some good prices on Assos shorts if you wanted an alternative.

  • Ta. Prefer my bike clothing without the overt sexualisation of female/male bodies ta. Gonna try La Passione - they've been well reviewed and allegedly have the same pad as Rapha.

  • The first batch of Core bibs to come out didn't have a particularly snug fit, but its my understanding that they took on board some of our comments and improved the fit, especially the fit that @Ste_S refers to.

I use them for commuting too, and i love 'em. Longer that the PT's, and more like the length of the Aero's. Proper comfy.

  • Bought mine from the Soho shop in June, so I presume latest batch ?

  • Will they offer lifetime repair like rapha? Even dhb has same pad as rapha but that hardly matters. No other brand should exist/try. #vulpineSyndrome

  • Think core bibs are best shorts you can buy, but I also like PT. Gripper is badass at keeping leg warmers in place. Also keeps the gut in check.

  • Like the new Country jerseys

  • ^This. Will be available for sale?

  • I wouldn't hold your breath
