And the rack shouldn't add that much extra weight, also I like the idea of having a bag up front which I can get into easily.

I'd contact PX - they only specify that the bike has mudguard eyelets and those are the only eyelets on the fork, they sell london road specific guards that mount to the midblade...

Do they?? I'm quite proud of my stay-bending bodge to fit Chromoplastics, although I've got no idea whether they're suitable for rack mounting. (I use rear rack + handlebar bag as below.)
