CX-Ray FTW haha, although front would be stiffer heads-in.
^EDIT: Not certain this is true, but I built a front radial 20h wheel heads-in due to believing it.
Looking great. You're going to fly! Front hub from same supplier as rear?

Front hub is 'mr ride', rear is Newson Sportec. No idea who actually makes them.
Shaving weight off wheels is all well and good but some is going to have to come off me at some point! That said I'm PB'ing hills that I rode last year already, so must have found some more power. I certainly feel stronger on the bike this year.

Biggest weight loss is going to be for the rider not the bike. Cabbage soup for you

Having seen a very recent photo of you, where the hell are you going to lose this weight from? Amputation?

I've never measured it but I think my body fat % must be fairly high. I'm skinnyfat. Currently about 75kg, was <72 for the nationals last year but started the HC season at 74 so if I can get to 72 by September I'll be in a good place.

Just poo more often. I'm sure there's a connection.

New full bike pics needed

In time - the bike is still hanging up in my parent's garage and the wheels are still at SBC cycles.

Rear weight is inclusive of (steel) bolts.
-
• #413
Heads in/out - I didn't think of that, justleft it to SBC. I can't imagine there's much in it, and this should be more aero (?).

yes and yes

Heads in/out - I didn't think of that
If the flanges are not canted to suit the spoke bracing angle, radial heads-in can give the flange a very hard time.

will we be seeing a shiny new seta frameset soon??
-
• #417
Not unless someone else buys me one. Would get me to about 4.8kg though.

New saddle to replace last years crash damaged one. Fucking 15g heavier, where's my drill...

Morrr cut out

Is a hillclimb bike legally required to have a saddle?
-
• #422
The height from the ground to the forearm resting position is no less than 80% of the height of the saddle from the ground.
-
• #423
Only mention of a saddle in the regs... Of course CTT regs are a clusterfuck, but could that be interpreted as requiring one? IANAL though.
That said no chance I'd not run one as I like to spin in the saddle where possible.

you can have my full carbon romin to strip if you want. its 120g with padding so i'd imagine i'd be lighter with out. One note, one of the rails is cracked at the front. I'd imagine* i'd be fine it you're not really going to ride on it...

Ah thanks but one cracked lightweight saddle is sufficient for me.
Oldschool. 22mm tubs so not really any benefit to a wider rim.
