nah. stays end up exactly at axles so no faff cutting them up etc. also i have marathon plus in the back, randonneur in the front, i think i'm ok punctureproofwise

Now that you said it and after I've gone through older photos of it, they really do look crashed...
I've never crashed on it myself and it's ridden well for some years now, so I'm not worried.
Here's some more photos of some different builds (to prove it does actually look a bit crashy). Been to loads of places with this bike.
