    Doesn't matter dude, the tubing isn't design to withstand the force of the disc brakes against it, he can braze it as much as he can but it doesn't escape the fact the tubing is too thin.

    Where do you think Surly are hiding all the material in the Steamroller if it's not in tube walls at least as thick as the Straggler?

    Of course, @vequatrenligne could have saved himself a lot of trouble by just buying the Straggler fork, and people wouldn't have to criticise the tacked-on rack mounts, but he's probably not going to die from fork failure this week. He probably will die from the endo caused by those tacks failing when he loads up the rack, but that's a different question :-)
