There is a difference between letting someone know you are passing which I would also do, and pulling dangerous shit whilst thinking shouting whilst doing it negates the dangerous shit.
No-one is getting paid, it's a fucking sportive and we all have to go to work tomorrow.
I'm sure loads of people riding today have raced and have skills, but its essentially a mass participation charity ride and not everyone will have the skills or confidence to deal with it.
