A serious injury. Hope for the best possible in the circumstances.

Saw a middle aged guy in green, crashed & knocked out cold just before Wimbledon.
No surprise there are crashes.. So many dickheads overtaking into corners and generally being self-centred twats

Forum Jersey? May have been me. Was feeling a little fresher at that point. Had to dismount to treat cramp about 60 miles in after the Leith descent. Treatment involved a salt beef bagel and a 5min break

Finished. My plan was to do no stops and try and get round in 4hr30m. My riding time was 4hr30m, but I had to stop twice, so my total time was 4hr37m. Stop one was when my Tilquist Garmin mount broke, dumping my Garmin on the floor. I stopped and went back to get it, and collected it from a kindly joggerist who'd been passing. Stop two was an unplanned loo stop.
Highlight of the day was on a descent about 70 miles in, when a gentleman in a Kingston Wheelers top overtook me bellowing 'ON THE RIGHT, ON THE RIGHT' like an enraged walrus, his legs thrashing violently to try and get enough speed to pass. He just managed to get past, only to make a total horlicks of the next corner, which for him involved handfuls of brake, a locked-up rear wheel, a sideways bike, a loud 'FAAAAAACK' and a total absence of apex. I LOL'd and asked him on the next climb (as I passed him) whether he'd ever considered cycle training. He didn't take it well.

Saw a couple of tandems and a Moulton. The Moulton started at about the same time as me and I saw him at the finish so I guess we got similar times.
Oh and lots and lots and lots of road bikes. Didn't see anyone else riding fixed or single speed and only saw one guy in an air ambulance jersey. He was finding Leith quite a struggle but must've passed me whilst i was decramping. Caught up with him somewhere in the last 10 and he hadn't recovered much. Managed to stop and say hi to Mrs rhowe which I was expecting to be the toughest challenge of the day but which turned out to be pretty easy. Was complimented on my choice of pre-ride snack in the starting area - cheesecake from brick lane bagel shop. Worked a treat. -

Oh and my time? Thanks for asking! Garmin has it at 5h22m including 3 stops. First 40 miles was over 20mph

My first DAS delivered by @HoKe rocking the forum skinsuit!
Did in 4:46 which I'm happy with.
Highlights: the mad speed through London; struggling to hold the wheel of aero-Mamils before crushing them on the climbs; surviving an attack by the man with the hammer
Lowlights: people undertaking on corners; hearing a crash just behind me; seeing someone's saddle explode into pieces (although it was spectacular); spotting a much sought after rapha insulated gilet thing dropped by the side of the road

Nice. My legs would've fallen off if I'd gone at that pace. Someone DAS'd me fairly early on but he was well ahead by the time the words got turned into action by my sleep-deprived brain

The pro race is being held near Shere/Ripley. Guess there's still a backlog from the earlier problems on the Ride 100.

Wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
That was brutal, had a good ride last year but was nothing more than a passenger this time around. The first 30 miles was hard and after chasing back on after Leith the legs were destroyed by Box. Thankfully I can retire from this event; 3 hours 59.

I managed 5:00 dead, with a couple of stops. Pleased enough with that, I'm not much of a distance cyclist and my surly with sturdy commuter tyres weighs twice as much as the carbon über-bikes zipping about.
I'll echo the comment above, it was surreal to be left for dead on the straights.. But have everyone around me fall to pieces on the hills. I thought the aero thing was all fashion, but it makes you zoom on these sort of rides .. Must knock up some cardboard fairings for my wheels !

5hrs 8mins
8 mins slower then last year, which considering my lack of training and physical condition I am made up with!
No sign of any dick riding or accidents where I was. Lots of unfriendly people on expensive bikes though. -

Awesome. Did he save it then?
I had someone crash across me, both of us at ~30kph a little bit uphill. He careered left through the pack, hit my front wheel sideways on and did an endo over the kerb. He seemed committed to this weird direction. Something metal and sharp on the back of his bike cut my finger mid-endo, I am guessing rear brake cable. I was lucky to keep upright and not cause a mass pileup behind.
Best wishes to the ones who weren't so lucky.

Yes. More by luck than judgment, from the look of things. His rear wheel was on the grass at the side of the road, travelling sideways at one point.

If you start around 8am it's pretty relaxed and mostly good vibes. Although not done it last couple of years, guessing it's only getting more 'competitive' (dickish).

Ended up delayed for nearly two hours at mile 39, but glad I wasn't re routed.
Shit. Must be serious with air ambulances :(
