Yes. Ti screws love to chew up if you apply any torque, even more so when they are using undersized tooling. Stick to steel, preferably Torx, and use tugs. No amount of weight saving is worth it if your tyre gets shoved up against the NDS chainstay by your starting effort.

Ti ones I've got are 4mm allen key rather than the stock 5mm - Will I die as a direct result of using them? Obviously won't be using chaintugs.
