  • Just thinking out loud, but I'm considering consolidating my commuter and racer into one ultimate do-it all bike. I currently have a Planet X London Road with 11 speed Sram Rival, Spyre Discs, 35mm tyres, Fulcrum Racing Sport wheels, full guards and rack (weighing at least 12kg) and a Canyon Roadlite with DA c24 wheels and 10 speed Ultegra 6700 (just under 8kg).

In a nutshell I'd want something as practical as the PX, as light as the Canyon and better quality than either. It will be used for commuting most days, as well as longer and faster rides at the weekend.

I guess in a perfect world I'd want something Ti or steel, carbon fork, ~28mm tyres, full guards, hydro discs, SRAM Force 22 and maybe some carbon wheels for the weekend and something more bomb-proof the rest of the time. At this stage I'm just trying to work out what all the frame options are. I don't think I can afford/face waiting for anything custom, so just any good OTP recommendations for frames to look at would be much appreciated, along with any particularly light/high quality parts I should consider.
