Just to add, not an out and out racing bike. Something that you could do some light touring on that will take mudguards and panniers.

I have a Dawes Giro 500 available, can't give you exact size because I'm not at home right now but it's equivalent to a 52cm in trad geometry. Has full Tiagra 9spd with compact chainset, mudguard clearances and mounts, will take a lightweight rack with a bit of adaptation. Everything works as it should, recent service, excellent condition. Looking for £280. I'm in SE1/Waterloo.

Helping a friend who is after a road bike. Relatively modern (2000+), pretty open to what it's made from. Size needs to be small, in the region of 52, no higher than 53. Budget up to £500 (not anything higher). Let me know if you have anything. Cheers
