Nice! that really makes me want a 650b wheelset for the roadbike. Is yours a 700c conversion or purpose built for that size?

They're for a Velo Orange Polyvalent which is designed for 650b. Will be posting pictures soon...

Don't suppose you can throw a set of calipers over them to see how they size up?

Well I cracked, thanks to your post, and ordered a pair, just got to choose spokes, probably build it up with a dynamo too.

if I have 700 x 35c rims/tyres currently, what size 650b tyres would I have to run to retain the same bb drop?

700x23 is about the same as 650bx42 iirc so I assume around 650bx54 tyresfor 700x35, tho a lil BB drop is probs okay, depending where it's at in the first place.

You can drop even further if you use clip less pedals, BB height currently work with clip and strap.

What is the recommended (semi)slick 584 tyre? Preferably big and cheap

All in £120, picked up from Edgware Road.

Thanks for the tip btw. I ordered a pair, planning to use them on my fixed wheel orlowski. I'm thinking freewheel and 40mm tyres, will need canti/v bosses for 650b.

I had 1.5 Gravel Kings on Pacenti TL28 rims and they measured 40mm when fitted

Know what you mean about the width, they feel bigger than they measure.

Visually the bike needs mudguards I think. It's a shame I don't like mudguards.
