Surly fixed disc hub has finally arrived, so I've dropped off the rims to be built with CX-Rays to be a aero-tank for my daily prommuting!

Was / Is it any good?

Multiple packages arrived, all in that austere grey packaging - cooler than Rapha!
Fo'Poc Blade, very good quality, multiple lenses, hard case, soft case, wow good 9/10
Foakley Frogskans, ok frames, logos dodgy up close but very cheap 5/10

Just compared my jawbreakers to the real deal. Two us could barely tell the difference. The only thing we found was the mechanism to open wasn't quite as good on the faux ones. Just I think 2 seconds with a jewellers file will sort it, and let them fully snap shut.
The best news is that real lenses fit! So I'm going to order myself some prisms

anyone got a marker on the open mould version of on-one bishbashbosh?

Just ordered one of those VCLS homage posts for my bike. Do I now need a torque wrench?
-
• #4589
Do I just get the 5Nm? Would I be better getting an adjustable one for when I become a super fast racer on full carbon with a skinsuit and an EPO habit?
This is my first carbon, so emotional, such learning. :')

I got the lifeline from Wiggle for ~£25 a few months ago. Nothing has cracked/snapped yet < Not sure that's a brilliant endorsement though...
-
• #4593
Yep, I've got that one too. Think I got it a bit cheaper on ebay (new). Seems to be spot on so far - had it since beginning of this year.

Thanks.
Another thing tho, when I put my bike in the stand I clip it via the seat post, will I have to stop doing that?
-
• #4595
Sorry about that, I updated link a few seconds after posting. It's an M:Part one off Tredz. Although the head looks like it's from the cheaper generic wrenches, the main body has the spring-load design that locks in to chosen torque setting like the Lifeline Professional and cheaper Park Tool models.

Do the same thing, but don't tighten the jaws completely, and hang it on the saddle instead
-
• #4599
Nah. Anything you need to tighten with a torque wrench will to 5nm.

My stem and seatpost clamp both need 6nm. Or have I misunderstood you?
I need a long (400mm) 27.2 carbon seatpost- amount of sellers//options on aliexpress are staggering so can someone recommend a legit place to buy please?
