    Have you tried a shimano closed cam qr?
    That fancy dt one is just as bad as novatec, zipp, planetx etc etc.. lightweight yes, but won't hold a thing.

  • Ah yes, just read up on sheldon about the difference between enclosed and exposed cam. Ill give a Shimano closed cam a try, and maybe an allen skewer if it still doesnt hold.

    Anyways, regarding narrow wide, it looks like ill have to go with Wolf Tooth's for 74 Euros from singlespeed.nl. There doesnt seem to be any alternatives for 5arm 94bcd.

    Anyone know a place to get a cheap custom NW's done? Or is it not at all worth it.

  • A cam type QR will be stronger than any hex key skewer type.

    Currently the only way to roll around on cheap NWs is by goin 104bcd. Luckily there is plenty of cheap crankset options out there.
