I'll pop into Evans at lunch with my crank puller and pinch one of theirs. Shh!

Given the form my XO1 mech had for creaking, it's a definite possibility

I am pretty sure that it is the BB now.

Where can I get supersix 5mm headset top cap posted within EU?
Maybe someone has spare one willing to get rid of? That Tange 30mm conical one is messing with my fit. -

The forks on my 29er' are being serviced so I think I'll get it painted as I've never been in love with the current paint job:
I was going to go for an orange FSI copy:
But I already have an orange bike, so i'm now thinking dark candy red al-la (with white logos):
Does anyone have any other suggestions before I take the plunge? FYI I veto Volvo blue...
p.s. which bearing cover do I need to get too slam the stem?

Track blue?
Saeco red?
-
• #6510
Track blue is a bit 'done' and i've always found that red to look abit 'cheap', hence me wondering about the other red. I did wonder about drab olive like your troll...

• #6511
i rly like the current paint :'(
-
• #6512
Those were just two of the first ones that came to mind :-)
I always liked this, but you said no orange. Also, It depends on if you go for paint or powder.

• #6513
drab olive
Camouflage bikepacking?
-
• #6514
It'll be powder otherwise I would have gone for sick fades, and drab olive is lowkey yes, but also hides mud well ;)
-
• #6515
SPAM warning - Talbot could do that fade, in fluro.

• #6516
£? or should I PM?

^Is is just me, or do those rims say 'slare' and not slate. Typeface fail.

Does etap work with spiderring cranks? Noticed the new 'dales with etap have the red cranks too.

Success?
Nick @ Soho upsold me a set of Hope 45 carbon wheels when I only went in for a Mavic end cap. Looking forward to getting them on the bike Friday. Then the horrendous Mavics Askiums can go back for warranty. Split rim, flex enough to rub the paint off both sides' chain stays and draggy freehub. Joyous.

Not yet, my escalation plan is as follows:
Tonight: strip, clean with Isopropyl, install fresh bearings with teflon grease.
I don't expect this to work, but I'll try it.Monday: drop the bike into Bespoke on Jermyn street for them to use their BB30 ream to ensure that the shell is bang on spec in terms of diameter and roundness (although of course any ovalisation won't be dealt with).
I don't expect this to work either, but I'll try it.Tuesday: pull everything out, clean, loctite bearings in.
I really hope this works, otherwise we have:Wednesday: throw bike in Thames.

SuperSix Evo Disc Black Inc.
Ah you are missing the ultra rare -2 spacer... Much harder to find than your common or garden -1 negative shim.
